Turning your reality into a virtual playground through digital immersion will soon be the norm in marketing and advertising, and I couldn’t be more excited. We have seen it done at the Olympics on a grand scale, and we have seen it used for the Oscars, but now this technology sounds like it’ll be within the grasp of designers worldwide. is leading the way with a new Augmented Reality Projector ( They listed the reserve prices at $699 to $1599 ) It’s likely going to be another immersive tool that is perfect for guerilla advertising, marketing, and stage & event signage.

I find technology like this to be why we got into this field in the first place, yes I could see the obstructiveness of it and the ability for it to be super distractive for drivers but… I could imagine digital AR activation in large open and small confined spaces alike, with artistic and open-ended imaginative creative capabilities. In places that are limited by their budget for set designs, or with their advertising prohibitive print costs this could easily replace that. ( One obvious place that comes to mind is Movie Posters ), It would be cooler to see live augmented reality movie posters than just a simple poster 1-off that’s in a frame.
